Digital marketing coordinator

We are currently looking for a digital marketing coordinator to join our team:

  • Working from our Surry Hills office in a small friendly team
  • Full time, 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday
  • We represent highly sought after gift/homeware brands, staff discounts are available
  • Salary $60K-$70K (for 4 days) depending on experience
  • Start date: asap

Do you have at least 2 years work experience, maybe in an office environment but looking to learn something new, something more creative? In this role you will be responsible for planning and implementing digital marketing strategies to help grow our business. As long as you are curious and a fast learner you do not need to have previous experience of digital marketing tools, training will be provided, but you do need to have experience of creating online content in tools like Canva.

The position
In this role you will work with the existing team to plan digital marketing content including websites, Instagram and email. The team will help guide you with the planning so that content and campaigns align with product launches and events. You will compile and schedule content like email newsletters yourself but also work with our in house graphic designer or external agencies for bigger projects. Much of the creative content is already provided by the international brands we work with and your job will be to select and adapt this content for our needs. While some of this work is quite creative you will also need to analyse results and as your understanding of the business develops we will expect you to make suggestions on better ways to influence our customers through marketing and digital communications strategies.

Your skills and experience
To succeed at this role you must be curious to learn and have some creative flair. Your previous experience must demonstrate:

  • Minimum 2 years full time work experience in a relevant industry
  • Experience of content creation e.g. in Canva
  • Ability to understand system reports e.g. click through rates for email newsletters
  • Excellent written communication skills 

Other desirable skills are:

  • Experience with Shopify
  • Graphic design training
  • Copywriting
